Today we held the first joint street advertising campaign by the Nerima Ward Constitutional Democratic Party since the election in front of Shakujii Koen Station. Even though it was a weekday evening, friends and supporters came all the way to the station and we received congratulatory flowers. I am so glad that so many people are supporting me even after the election is over.
And actually, Nerima Ward, last time 28 %だった女性議員比率が36%! Of the 10 newcomers elected for the first time, a whopping 7 are women! We are still a long way from parity (50% each of women and men), but data shows that when women make up more than 30% of the population, their opinions cannot be ignored. Thanks to all of you for sending women to Congress.
